It’s a new year! I know I have been MIA with my blog… but I hope to keep some updates on here as much as possible from here on out! The website is under some maintenance right now so it should be updated in no time! There are a lot of exciting things coming up this year! I will be posting my golf schedule, pictures from different events I have already attended this year (Superbowl/NBA All-Star), a New show that I’m on with Golf Channel…. and much more!!!!
Last year I had a lot of exciting things happen and a lot of ups n downs! Finishing Runner Up on Big Break: PEI was a great success. Although, I would of much rather been the big winner,,, I think I showed what I am capable of on the golf course and that I can hold my own under pressure. It was all a great learning experience and a lot of great opportunities have and are still coming from it.
Last summer I also filmed a web show for Golf Channel, Infuze My Game, which was not only a great success online but it was so fun filming and working with the staff at Fuzion Golf!
For the first time ever I played in the LPGA Qualifying Tournament. During first stage I made it past both 2nd day cuts and in good standing giving myself the opportunity to finish in the top 30 and move on. In fact, in Florida I shot a 69 the first round and was in 2nd place. Unfortunately, I didn’t finish in the top 30 to move on to Final Stage. It was heartbreaking and reminds me how tough this game can be. How can you one day be in perfect standing and the next feel like you are so out of control? So to sum it all up I’ve learned from my experience. Know what I did right and what I will do differently next time. It’s such a stressful event… but the only way to make it to the top. I know I have everything it takes to play at the LPGA level and with every experience I am getting closer and closer. I’m learning about myself as a person and a golfer- what works for me- and to be aware of why and how it does so that I can be in control when things are great and when doubt creeps in. The great players know what they did and why they did it and what they need to do now… that’s what I am learning and that’s the kind of control I want in my game.
With that being said I am looking forward to competing again this year and taking advantage of the exciting opportunities that come my way in 2010. I’m excited for a great year and thanks to you for following and supporting me along the way
